I'm a software engineer with 15+ years in the field, these days working at the principal level. It all began with a childhood fascination for computers (and a memorable PC upgrade where my power supply behaved like an electric fountain 💥). Since then, the journey has taken me from leading agile teams and building cloud-based SaaS platforms to helping fintech, payment, and platform-driven companies design, modernise, and deliver production-grade systems.

My writing is heading where I believe our craft is heading: software architecture and agentic AI. Everything is grounded in production-grade work with Kotlin, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, and BPM, mostly in the financial sector. So expect stories and lessons from the trenches, not coding tips.

Open source at heart 💙: my work has been recognized by the CH Open Source Awards, and giving back to the community is the dream I keep chasing.

Away from the keyboard, I merge tech with visual arts at stans.pictures and wander the world with my wife and our dog. Those adventures push me to think differently and embrace unconventional ideas.
